Who We Are
Focus on the day-to-day life of plus-size people, 2XL's mission is the promotion of a positive quality of life. We offer products geared to the specific needs of overweight people in order to help them maintain an active life, to contribute to their integration in the community and fight against size discrimination.
History
The creation of 2XL stems from a personal interest in obesity on the part of its president, Sylvie Raymond. Trained as a Biochemist, Sylvie has a global approach to health; she believes that obsessive control of one's weight can be as detrimental to both mind and body as a BMI over 30. Using her experience and background knowledge, Sylvie examines the information that is published about weight control and obesity. She wants individuals to recognize that whatever their weight and body shape, they have a place in the community and they deserve to be able to take care of themselves. Determined to give plus-size people the opportunity to enjoy life, this respectful woman decided to found 2XL.
Values
As a good corporate citizen, 2XL plays an active role in the community. All associates of 2XL share the same values:
- Respect of the dignity for each human being. 2XL develops and distributes high quality adapted products to meet the specific needs of oversize people.
- The promotion of an active lifestyle for maintenance of good health whatever one's BMI. 2XL distributes adapted products which contribute to an active lifestyle.
- Data compiled by 2XL will be used only for the development of adapted products and services. Data will not be distributed or used for any other purpose.
